Whether it's back pain, knee pain, headaches or hip tightness, any type of pain can hold you back from feeling yourself. More often than not this pain is a symptom that your body is expressing to tell you that an area of your body is struggling to function properly. Pain is your bodies way of saying "can you sort this out please!". Poor posture, stress, sports injuries, whiplash injuries and repetitive habits can take their toll on your body.

In some cases the area of your body you are experiencing pain is not where the pain is actually coming from. At Aceso Family Chiropractic we will thoroughly assess, diagnose and treat you to help your body overcome pain and dysfunction. The best part is we are specifically trained to do this with with non-invasive, low risk hands-on techniques.

What is chiropractic

The General Chiropractic Council (GCC) explains Chiropractic as a "primary health profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, and the effects of these disorders on the function of the nervous system and general health".

Put simply, Chiropractors are specially trained to diagnose and treat all the joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments of the body not just the spine. Your brain is your central computer and all your nerves are the wires that connect it with your body. Chiropractic care aims to remove interference from your nervous system to allow your brain to better control and coordinate the processes that are constantly occurring in your body.

Chiropractors use a range of techniques, with an emphasis on manipulation of the spine and other joints. This is known as a chiropractic adjustment. At Aceso family Chiropractic Buckingham we also offer advice on diet, exercise and lifestyle choices that can help you more quickly achieve your goals and help to put the control back in your hands.

The effectiveness of chiropractic care is detailed in the 2009 NHS National Institute for health and clinical excellence (NICE) and the 2010 Bronfort Report:
